With their new album ‘Wonderful, Glorious‘ due for release on February 4th next year, Eels have announced a 2013 tour of the UK which will be preceded by a date at the Dublin Olympia on March 15th.
The UK leg will be launched at the Manchester Academy on March 17th, with Academies in Glasgow, Leeds and Bournemouth – as well as the Brixton Academy in London – immediately following.
The tour will end on March 30th with a gig at the Birmingham Academy.
‘Wonderful, Glorious‘ was recorded in band leader Mark Everett’s new Los Feliz studios, something which proved to be an exciting decision for the group according to E.
“It was exciting,” he said. “It filled me with hope for limitless possibilities. And I realised I’d had a similar feeling when I first put the band together for the last two tours.”
