Live4ever Presents… Fiction & Copy Haho

Well Live4ever Presents is back with a new instalment, and trust me it was well worth the wait. I have two great bands for you this week. First up is a band from London who go by the name of ‘Fiction’

Fiction

Fiction are so close to the cusp of getting signed its ridiculous. Enigmatic, disjointed & wonky pop riffs in epic proportions are what make this band what they are. A haunting blend of 60s pop and 80s new wave are what make this Art Rock band ones to watch over the next year. Just listen to those stabbing riffs in ‘Tooth Fairy’, how they blend beautifully to the front and into the background. Subtle but complex beats mixed with dark harrowing vocals, but all done with an educated pop sensibility.

The band played an amazing set at The Offset Festival only a couple of weeks ago. At the moment these guys are unsigned but I have on good authority that wont be for long. So watch out for this band in the near future and remember where you heard about them first.

I was introduce to this next band by a good friend of mine who have seen them many times live in and around their hometown. Good friends with fellow Scots  DANANANANAYKROYD and have supported the great  Los Campesinos! this amazing band are the wonderful Copy Haho.

Copy Haho

This energetic, infectious and fun loving band have already won hearts of many fans in there native Scotland. They produce catchy Indie Pop gems that will make you run to the dance floor and do your best indie disco dance moves. With pop hooks and an almost punk rock attitude, Copy Haho have a mix of innocence and visceral lyricsm that make them stand out from the crowd. The band already have had small releases in the shape of an EP and 7″ singles. Most recently was the EP ‘Bred For Skills & Magic’ through Big Scary Monsters, which is available to download now. On the 19th October sees the release of the single ‘Wrong Direction’ on 7″ Vinyl via Too Pure Records.

With a whole load of support slots with Indie royalty under their belts, it wont be long before they headline their own small tour. I hear they are working on new material at the moment so that long awaited debut from these guys is edging ever so closely to their loyal fans!
