Young Fathers will be headlining on March 7th.

Young Fathers, The Smile and Gossip are leading the line-up announcement for this year’s BBC 6 Music Festival.

Taking place between March 7th-10th at its new permanent Greater Manchester base, the event’s first night will see Hak Baker joining the headline act.

“6 Music has been a long-time supporter but I feel since the birth of my debut you lot have just taken it to another echelon,” Baker said.

I just can’t thank you enough for broadcasting my messages on the airwaves. Outside East London, Manchester, home of the Haçienda, has long been my fave city. We always sell out over there and we always have it large, most importantly so bringing it heavy on March 7th 2024. Couple of newbies no one’s ever heard and a few more tricks up the old wizard sleeve. Hold on to ya hats!

Gossip will be playing on March 8th with support from CMAT, while The Smile will be performing with the London Contemporary Orchestra on March 9th.

“We can’t wait to kick start the 6 Music Festival and find out what some of our favourite artists have in store for us – in a busy festival season this is a chance to see and hear something brand new,” Lauren Laverne added.
