Yeah Yeah Yeahs live at All Points East 2023 (Adam Hampton-Matthews)
Yeah Yeah Yeahs were at All Points East in London last month.
Yeah Yeah Yeahs have announced three more live shows in the US.
They’ll take place at the MGM Music Hall in Boston on November 6th, The Met in Philadelphia on the 8th and finally at Toronto’s History venue on November 11th.
The band remain on the road after the release of their Cool It Down album last year:
“The presence of Perfume Genius is largely unrequired; his vocals are so imperceptible that they’re barely there, leaving it largely and rightly as The O Show,” our review reads. “Slow but majestic, it’s an attention-grabbing start.”
Sadly, what follows is something of a misstep as the plodding Lovebomb fails to capitalise. There’s little wrong with the song: it’s meditative and spiritual, with a plea to ‘let the time come when hearts fall in love’ and synthesizers as the sound of sunrise, but placed as only the second song seems misjudged, its natural home on the latter stages of any album.
