Wheatus played The Garage on October 20th.
Wheatus have been on tour for over a week now after getting in early to add a seasonal twist to their enduring hit Teenage Dirtbag, recording a new version dubbed Christmas Dirtbag to go with four other tracks on the Just A Dirtbag Christmas EP.
“We’ve talked about doing a Christmas song for many years, and this seemed like the perfect year to make it happen,” Brendan B. Brown said.
But after much discussion we couldn’t settle on just one idea, and we wound up with five! So, we figured – why not make it an EP? There’s a big pop rock song, a vintage 1950s number, a dark & heavy one, a classy instrumental, and of course we couldn’t resist a Christmas Dirtbag…we wanted there to be something for everyone!
The UK and Ireland tour, meanwhile, will continue in Belfast tomorrow night and next month is set to lead into two shows at Spotlight in New York.
