Liam Gallagher will return to Manchester this week to make his live bow as a solo artist.
Gallagher has announced a UK and Ireland tour starting at the Manchester Ritz next Tuesday night. From there, June gigs which visit London and Dublin end at Barrowlands in Glasgow on the 11th.

Hurts are back with their fourth studio album Desire, which has been set for release on September 29th.
Theo Hutchcraft and Adam Anderson will head out on a tour of Europe once the album is out which includes UK dates at the Brixton Academy and Manchester Apollo in December. “It gives us great pleasure to announce Desire,” they’ve said.

Noel Gallagher solo album no.3 is sounding ‘mad different’ and ‘adventurous’, according to Reverend & The Makers‘ Jon McClure.
In a post on Twitter last week, McClure revealed he had been given a very early advance copy of the record and was hugely impressed with what he heard.

Alt-J release their third album on June 9th and very soon after will be headlining the O2 Arena in London in celebration of its ten years as a live music venue.

Franz Ferdinand have unveiled their new line-up following the departure of guitarist Nick McCarthy last year.
Two new members have officially come on board as a North American tour gets underway, with Dino Bardot, formerly of 1990s, and electronic producer Julian Corrie filling the void left by McCarthy.

Milburn‘s reunion is continuing apace with an appearance at Camden Rocks and their own hometown gig at Don Valley Bowl coming up next month. They’ve now posted another new track too.
This follows the initial comeback tour marking ten years of their debut album in 2016, when new material including Midnight Control also emerged.

Syd Arthur have made a six-track live EP available to download for free.
With tour dates along side Morgan Delt due to start at a secret venue in Brighton on June 2nd, the EP has been uploaded, recorded at Patterns, also in Brighton, last November 3rd.

Alison Mosshart and Jamie Hince have recorded acoustic versions of the Ash & Ice track That Love, Rihanna’s Desperado and Wait from their first ever release, the Black Rooster EP, for Echo Home – Non-Electric EP.
