Pro footage of Pulled Apart By Horses performing their ‘Blood‘ album track ‘Medium Rare‘ as part of the Dr. Martens European #STANDFORSOMETHING Tour has been posted online and can be seen below.
The tour is carrying Pulled Apart By Horses around mainland Europe on a hectic schedule – gigs in Paris (where this performance was filmed), Hamburg, Copenhagen, Stockholm and Amsterdam are on the agenda.
They then return to the UK for headline dates at the Manchester Gorilla, Glasgow Stereo, Brighton Haunt, Birmingham Library, Bristol Fleece and London Heaven in November, all in support of their fourth studio album.
“The sound and writing is reminiscent of ‘Bleach‘-era Nirvana for the most part, with a good measure of Sonic Youth’s ‘Goo‘ just to round it out – but it is only reminiscent, it never sounds like these records, just sharing a raw intensity, anger and appealing debauchery, and it’s this combination that makes the record explode, soaked throughout with so much intensity and energy that it can be hard to keep up,” our review states. “It is tireless, but never tiring.”
