Grizzly Bear brought their wonderful ‘Shields‘ album to Later…With Jools Holland last night (October 16th), performing chief single ‘Yet Again‘ during the live Tuesday edition which can be viewed below.
The band were joined by the likes of Madness and Diana Krall as the latest series of Later… continues, with an extended version of the show due to air this Friday.
Since its release last month, ‘Shields’ has proved to be one of Live4ever’s favourite releases of the year so far, and was described in our review as “…Adopting a much heavier sound, it is also a much more aggressive album. Where ‘Veckatimest’ opened to the gentle rolling, slowly climactic, acoustic blues of ‘Southern Point’, here ‘Sleeping Ute’ tears and shreds its path with a thunderous boom – an unpredictable, unstable, reverberating electric storm.”
