Gorillaz have debuted the video for the track which forms a part of Converse’s ‘Three Artists. One Song’ campaign.
Damon Albarn has joined forces with Andre 3000 of Outkast and LCD Soundsystem‘s James Murphy for the track ‘DoYaThing‘, which was made available as a free download from Converse’s official website on February 23rd.
Gorillaz’ artistic leader Jamie Hewlett has been working on the video to accompany the project, which includes two new characters; a martial arts baboon and a masked topless man. Hewlett has also lent his talents to Converse itself, with a Gorillaz-inspired shoe range being unveiled this month.
It’s a busy time for Damon Albarn at the moment. As well as the completion of this track, new dates with Blur have also been confirmed for this summer following their appearance at the Brit Awards last week, while his side project with Red Hot Chili Peppers‘ bass player Flea – Rocketjuice and The Moon – unveiled their own first track yesterday.
