Twin Atlantic and Reverend & The Makers are leading a host of new additions to the 2016 Isle Of Wight festival.
“Really looking forward to playing at a festival that has hosted so many legendary bands/acts over the years from its beginnings way back in the sixties,” says Twub Atlantic frontman Sam McTrusty.
“It’s rare that we get to make a debut appearance at a festival on UK soil of late, so this one will feel more exciting and memorable than usual. There’s nothing like playing brand new music in a new place. Set to be one of the highlights of our summer.”
Also new on the bill for next June are the likes of Jess Glynne, Gabrielle Aplin, The Corrs and Lissie, joining headliners Queen, Faithless and Stereophonics, as well as Iggy Pop, The Damned and others who’ll be at the event celebrating 40 years of punk.
“Very excited to be playing the Isle of Wight Festival,” Reverend & The Makers’ Jon McClure adds. “Not only the location but the history . It’s been a long held ambition of ours and so it shall be nothing short of a party. I also believe we are opening the festival. What a privilege.”
