Trudy And The Romance have shared the next piece of their debut album Sandman.

”Doghouse is our Hollywood thud and number 1 hit in another dimension,” frontman Olly Taylor says of the single. “Waiting on a lover and always caught in the rain.”

“With glitter on its socks to put diamonds on the soles of your shoes. An all-night fiery dance-floor bop, half way to heaven on the roof of a 7 car pile-up.”

The video, meanwhile, is described by Taylor as ‘a noir with vibrant cartoons; troubled ne’er-do-well Little Johnny is lonely and out of luck’. “Fortunately magic sparks and the wonderful world comes to party,” he concludes.

Doghouse will be released on March 27th with Sandman following on May 24th after sessions with producer David Pye. They’ll be touring the UK by then, and have dates scheduled in London, Manchester, Glasgow, Bristol, Sheffield and Liverpool.

Tour dates:

May
21 – Oslo, London
22 – Yes Basement, Manchester
23 – Broadcast, Glasgow
28 – The Crofters Rights, Bristol
29 – Cafe Totem, Sheffield
30 – Jacaranda Records, Liverpool
