‘Big Companies, Large Tentacles’ is streaming from the upcoming self-titled Eyes Of Others debut album.

“A while ago I visited Sigmund Freud’s old house,” John Bryden said of it. “I stared at his couch in his study for a good five minutes. I thought of all the twisted souls who would take up there as he went about his psychoanalysis and excavations of the mind.”

“Big Companies, Large Tentacles is an ode to a turbulent session on Freud’s couch. Where words are not enough, overwhelmed by emotions and dust particles permeating the psyche, it is something to be purged and tossed into an acid bath with a sort of gay abandon.”

Georgia‘s third studio album Euphoric has been set for release on July 28th.

The songwriter worked in Los Angeles for the first time after being invited there by Rostam, a fan of her contribution to Mura Masa’s track Live Like We’re Dancing.

“I wanted an adventure,” she’s said. “Being a self-produced musician, it’s easy to get stuck on one thing or in one place.”

The new Jenny Lewis single Psychos is streaming online ahead of the release of her new album ‘Joy’All’ on June 9th.

“I started writing some of these songs on the road, pre-pandemic and then put them aside as the world shut down, and then from my home in Nashville in early 2021, I joined a week-long virtual songwriting workshop with a handful of amazing artists, hosted by Beck,” Lewis said.

“The challenge was to write one song every day for seven days, with guidelines from Beck. The guidelines would be prompts like ‘write a song with 1-4-5 chord progression,’ ‘write a song with only cliches,’ or ‘write in free form style.’ The first song I submitted to the group was Puppy and a Truck.”

Connie Constance has shared a new version of Kamikaze featuring Sleaford Mods‘ Jason Williamson with headline London gigs at The Lower Third and the Village Underground coming up this year.

“It’s about the western beauty standard women are expected to uphold especially those in the media eye,” Constance said.

“And also the idea that we’re all meant to have it together all the time. It’s talking about Amy Winehouse and more recently Caroline Flack and how they were treated by the media instead of cared for in a time of need.”

Jungle have unveiled their fourth album with its lead track Candle Flame.

Volcano will be released on August 11th and, with a headline spot at All Points East booked shortly after on the 26th, is set to be followed by an extensive tour of North America and Europe during the Autumn.

“We wanted to create a song that was both personal and relatable, exploring the highs and lows of love and relationships in a way that was both poetic and authentic,” the duo said of Candle Flame.
