The tribute to late Factory Records boss Tony Wilson has topped this week’s Vinyl Singles Chart in the UK.

St Anthony: An Ode To Anthony H Wilson‘ features the poetry of Manchester native Mike Garry set to the music of composer Joe Duddell, and has debuted at #1 ahead of David Bowie‘s ‘Fame‘.

Dedicated vinyl album and singles charts were launched by the Official Charts Company earlier this year in recognition of the continuing resurgence of the traditional format – the singles chart is compiled from sales of 7″ and 12″ records.
