Tickets for Ash‘s UK anniversary gigs celebrating 20 years of their debut album ‘1977‘ have gone on sale today.
“We’re as excited as we are in disbelief to announce the 20th anniversary tour of ‘1977’,” the band said in a statement. “Some of these songs have grown with us throughout those years; others have the ability to transport us mentally and emotionally back to that crazy formative year of 1995 to 96.”
“These gigs are going to be a trip, trip, trip!”
To start with at least, the band will play the London Roundhouse on December 10th, the Manchester Ritz on the 11th and Nottingham’s Rock City on the 12th in fond memory of their 1996 debut album which went to number one in the UK and delivered fast-paced hit singles such as ‘Girl From Mars’ and ‘Oh Yeah’.
