Surviving members of the Buzzcocks will be joined by Thurston Moore, Tim Burgess, The Damned, The Only Ones and The Skids at a concert in London arranged in memory of their late bandmate Pete Shelley.
Shelley’s life will be remembered at the Royal Albert Hall on June 21st after he passed away last December at the age of 63. “I’m looking forward to an amazing show at London’s Royal Albert Hall,” Steve Diggle has said.
“It’s going to be the perfect setting for us and our fans to pay tribute to Pete Shelley.”
When news of Shelley’s passing was confirmed, those bandmates had led the tributes on Twitter, writing that his ‘music has inspired generations of musicians over a career that spanned five decades and with his band and as a solo artist, he was held in the highest regard by the music industry and by his fans around the world’.
