The View have announced two December gigs in Scotland as they round off a year which saw them release fifth studio album ‘Ropewalk‘.

The shows take place on Wednesday, December 16th at the Glasgow O2 Academy and at the Dundee Caird Hall on Thursday, December 17th. Tickets went on sale today (October 10th).

The View worked with Strokes guitarist Albert Hammond Jr. on their latest album, and frontman Kyle Falconer felt it marked the closest in sound to that of 2007 UK number one debut album ‘Hats Off To The Buskers‘.

“I would say that this is the closest sounding to our debut album ‘Hats Off To The Buskers’,” he said. “We’ve kept this album quite raw whilst recording so that we will have the ability to play it live as well, if not better, as it sounds on the record.”

The View completed a run of UK tour dates with two nights at The Liquid in Edinburgh earlier this week.
