The Twilight Sad by Debi Del Grande
Band members James Graham and Andy MacFarlane will be performing some favourites from The Twilight Sad back catalogue.
The Twilight Sad will broadcast a concert film on December 5th featuring new, stripped back versions of songs from their five studio records.
“We are delighted to announce a stripped back performance film feat James and Andy which will be broadcast on 5/12/20,” they announced on social media. “Filmed and recorded at Oran Mor Glasgow, it will feature new reworkings of songs from our 5 albums.”
There’ll only be one chance to catch the performance from Glasgow’s Òran Mór at 8pm UK time, it following the release of the band’s It Won/t Be Like This All The Time live album back in April as Lockdown #1 went down, taking live music with it.
“We have been talking about recording a live album for a long time,” they said at the time. “We think this is the best we’ve been playing as a live band and wanted to document that. With five albums of material we felt now was the time.”
“Over the past few months we were figuring out how to release the album and then covid-19/lockdown/gig cancellations happened. We quickly decided that we would release the album digitally on a pay what you want basis.”
