The Shins will stay on in the UK for a few days after their appearance at Green Man in August.
The band move on to Manchester’s Academy venue and Rock City in Nottingham on the 22nd and 23rd respectively, these headline gigs confirmed as another UK show in London approaches later this month as part of a European tour.
They also play the Glasgow O2 Academy on March 25th as part of the 2017 BBC 6Music Festival after the release of Heartworms – an album which James Mercer has been sure for a while would be a hit with fans. “I think we’ve got something that Shins fans will really love, and I think there are some other things on there that are different enough,” he told KBOO 90.7.
“I made a concerted effort on some songs to fit the palette, to use the palette that I’ve historically used for the band.”
