There’s been a rare hiccup on the good ship Rolling Stones; a gig in Las Vegas scheduled for tonight has been cancelled.

Frontman Mick Jagger has ‘bad laryngitis’, the possibility of the show getting a new date is consequently being explored. “I’m so sorry about the cancellation of Wednesday’s show in Las Vegas, I’ve got bad laryngitis,” Jagger’s whispered on Twitter.

“I do apologise to everyone who bought tickets.”

“We hope to have information about the possibility of rescheduling this date very soon,” a statement from the band added.

The Stones have just completed a second weekend at Desert Trip with Paul McCartney, The Who, Roger Waters, Bob Dylan and Neil Young, and are getting ready to release a new blues album on December 2nd.

Blue & Lonesome marks their first studio LP since 2005’s A Bigger Bang.
