The Pogues to perform ‘Rum, Sodomy, and The Lash’ in full on December UK tour

The Pogues will be back out on the road for another December UK tour this year when their 1985 second studio album ‘Rum, Sodomy, and The Lash‘ is set to be played in its entirety along side other ‘favourite tracks’.

Despite ‘Spider’ Stacy appearing to suggest in early 2011 that a tour of the US that year would be their last in America, the band have continued to perform live sporadically in the UK since then, and will continue regular December activity which never fails to coincide with the enduring Christmas hit ‘Fairytale Of New York‘ making its annual climb up the charts.

And for the end of this year, The Pogues will visit the Manchester Apollo, Glasgow Academy and London’s Brixton Academy for a total of four shows. Tickets are onsale from September 27th.

‘Rum, Sodomy, and the Lash’ remains one of The Pogues’ most popular albums – a cohesive staging point for the brash punk spirit of their debut ‘Red Roses For Me‘ and the lighter, folk leanings of its successor ‘If I Should Fall From Grace With God‘.
