The Ninth Wave have confirmed their debut album Infancy will be released on April 26th.

The band are following an emerging trend of releasing it in two stages; the second part of their maiden studio LP has been set for November 15th. “We never started with a mindset of ‘We want to be like this band’,” says frontman Haydn Park-Patterson. “We’re always trying to do something new.”

New single Used To Be Yours has been tagged with the album’s announcement, a track on which bassist Millie Kidd takes lead vocals for the first time. “The song is set in the No Man’s Land that you find yourself in after a relationship ends, where you still feel like you have some sort of possession over each other,” says Kidd.

“It reflects upon the inability to find comfort in one’s own company.”

Fresh out of SXSW, The Ninth Wave will support The Blinders on the road in April and May, and also visit the Stag & Dagger and Great Escape festivals.
