Following their 2014 self-titled debut album and tours with Palma Violets, the Ming City Rockers return on March 25th with their second album ‘Lemon’.
Recorded last summer with producer Steve Albini – of Nirvana and Pixes fame it should go without saying – at his Electrical Audio studios in Chicago, the album is set for release on digital, CD and vinyl formats, previewed by first single ‘Sell Me a Lemon’.
Other tracks on the LP include ‘All I Want To Do Is Waste My Time With You’, described as punk with a pop mentality in the grand tradition of the Buzzcocks, while ‘Death Trap’ is a nod to Hawkwind circa 1979.
Further on, ‘Trying To Find Pixies‘ reggae feel is said to recall The Clash, while the band’s central core of Clancey Jones and Morley Adams is on show on ‘I Don’t Mind If You Don’t Mind’.
Formed in 2012 on the east Yorkshire coast, the band are promising extensive UK tour dates to be announced very soon.
