The Men are back on Sacred Bones for their next studio album Drift.
Coinciding with the band’s 10th anniversary this year, the band’s seventh studio album is set for release on March 2nd, and its first track Maybe I’m Crazy is streaming now.
Recorded straight to 2″ tape with the help of Travis Harrison at Serious Business Studios in Brooklyn, the LP will present a more varied sonic pallette than we might expect from The Men, with synths, strings, sax, steel, harmonica and tape loops all getting in on the action along side the usual mix of guitars, bass, and drums.
In addition, a more stripped back final product reflects ‘the personalities of its makers becoming less frantic’, according to Nick Chiericozzi.
Some US tour dates have been lined up to support the release; two nights at Union Pool in Brooklyn on March 3rd and 4th, and a trip to Levitation Fest in Austin on April 27th.
Drift tracklist:
