The Libertines and Alabama Shakes are new additions to the 2015 Open’er Festival.

The Prodigy, Disclosure and The Vaccines have also just been confirmed, adding to the likes of Father John Misty, Modest Mouse, Django Django, Faithless, Of Monsters and Men, St Vincent, Alt-J and Eagles Of Death Metal who are already on the bill.

Open’er is held between July 1st-4th at the Babie Doly Military Airport in Poland, headlined by Mumford & Sons, Drake and Kasabian.

It’s yet another date for The Libertines to look forward to as their 2014 live return shows no signs of slowing down. It was recently confirmed that Carl Barat had rejoined Pete Doherty in Thailand to continue work on a third studio album.

Indeed, according to Doherty, Barat will only record new material in Thailand. “But he doesn’t want me, he doesn’t want to work with me in London, basically,” he said in a short documentary posted back in March.

“He’s made that clear. I think he was surprised and pleased at how well it went, working here, away from everything, and how inspired it was. So it’s just a question of him getting back out here.”
