After announcing their live return at Governors Ball later this year, The Gaslight Anthem have now promised more live outings to mark the tenth anniversary of The ’59 Sound.
The band’s second studio LP turns ten in August, not long after they are due to play their first gig since 2015 at New York’s Randall’s Island Park in June. And writing on Twitter, they’ve told fans to be ready for ‘more shows to be announced soon’ as the hiatus they entered nearly three years ago comes to an end.
“We’re all going to do other projects and stay active in some way or another, both in and out of music, but we’d like to step away from the band until we decide what we’d like to do next,” the band said on Facebook at the time.
Hello everyone! The ‘59 Sound is turning 10 this year so we’re gonna do some shows to celebrate.
Thank you all for your continued support, more shows to be announced soon!— The Gaslight Anthem (@gaslightanthem) 3 January 2018
