After handing it a limited edition, vinyl–only release for Record Store Day last weekend, The Flaming Lips have confirmed their fifteenth studio album King’s Mouth will get a general release on July 19th.

First track All For The Life Of The City has been shared to mark the announcement, the album containing 12 tracks in total which are narrated by The Clash’s Mick Jones and run parallel to Wayne Coyne’s art installation of the same name which has been showcased at various locations across North America since 2015. Of all this, Coyne remarks:

“The King’s Mouth immersive/child-like qualities are born from the same spark and womb as The Flaming Lips live performances. The King’s Mouth adventure was made for humans of all sizes, ages, cultures, and religions.”

The Flaming Lips will be in the UK later this year for shows at the Edinburgh Usher Hall on Thursday, September 5th; the Manchester Academy on September 6th and Brixton Academy in London on September 7th.
