The Dead Weather have set their new album ‘Dodge & Burn‘ for release on September 25th after a string of recent single releases.
The band’s first album in five years arrives as a result of Jack White, Alison Mosshart, guitarist Dean Fertita and bassist Jack Lawrence spending, ‘their rare and sporadic free moments over the past year recording together in Nashville’, according to a statement issued last month.
The press release also states that, in keeping with Jack White’s well documented, indefinite ‘retirement’ from live music, the band will not be heading out on the road in support.
“With the members of the band heavily involved in other projects, The Dead Weather will not be touring in support of the new album,” it concludes.
‘Dodge & Burn’ will be out through Jack White’s Third Man Records label, with a limited edition version planned for its always impressive Vault series.
