The Cure‘s Robert Smith has remixed Ride‘s ‘Vapour Trail‘, which he says features “one of the best 15 second intros of all time”.

‘Vapour Trail’ is the closing track of Ride’s debut album ‘Nowhere‘, which is set to be re-released on its 25th anniversary next month.

It will also be played in full by the band during their upcoming UK tour, which starts in Leeds October 11th. “I’m so excited about playing ‘Nowhere’ in full,” guitarist Andy Bell has said.

“I didn’t realise how few times we’d actually played most of the songs. And of course we have never played the album in its original track order before.”

The Cure will be out on the road themselves soon having announced the first three gigs of a 25-date 2016 North American tour. Those confirmed shows are at Hollywood Bowl, Chicago’s UIC Pavilion and Madison Square Garden on May 22nd, June 10th and June 18th respectively.
