The Clockworks by Oscar J Ryan
The Clockworks will release it on March 27th next year.
The Clockworks have confirmed the details of their second studio album The Entertainment and unveiled its latest single Through The Looking Glass.
“This song centres around that moment of telling someone you love them and not hearing the same thing back,” the band have explained.
It’s the desperation, longing and futility of building yourself up beforehand to pour your heart out and obsessively retracing the moment a thousand times in your head afterwards.
Set to be their first on V2 Records, the news of the LP comes after the group’s return in September with Best Days – a track described then as a, ‘labour of love that almost didn’t make it’:
Before it was fully written we knew how the song would start, how we wanted it to feel, and where it would sit in the context of our new music, but it took a while to get the lyrics and vocal melody right. The lyrics describe a harmful relationship and the things you tell yourself to not let that relationship go.
