The Charlatans will tour their new album Different Days through the UK and Ireland in the winter.
Dates in Nottingham, Sheffield, Wolverhampton, Manchester, Glasgow, Newcastle, Leeds, Cardiff, London, Dublin and Belfast have been booked to support the record, which is out on May 26th. It’s a guest-laden affair, as frontman Tim Burgess explained to BBC 6Music. “After Jon (Brookes) died we decided not to replace him on drums so the first port of call is always Pete Salisbury, who plays with us live, so he was our first guest,” he said.
“And then as we started to write more and more songs it became apparent that we’d like to ask Stephen Morris to play with us, so Stephen ended up playing on seven songs, and Gillian from New Order also played on one.”
