Now, The Beach Boys‘ landmark ‘Pet Sounds‘ album is to be re-released on its 50th anniversary in an expanded form which will offer its legions of fans a comprehensive document of both its creation and the journey taken by the band immediately after.
Packed up in a 4CD/Blu-ray collector’s edition will be a hardbound book leading off the remastered album in both stereo and mono mix, session outtakes, alternate mixes and live recordings from Michigan State University, Carnegie Hall, the Paramount Theater in New York and beyond.
Brian Wilson has already announced his own celebratory dates at this Golden time, and will perform the album live during UK tour dates in May and early June which include three nights at the London Palladium.
