The Beach Boys, Neil Young, Patti Smith new entries on UK Record Store Chart


pattismith1New releases from veterans Neil Young and Patti Smith have landed straight in the top ten of this week’s UK Record Store Album Chart, which is topped by Gary Barlow‘s Jubilee-tinged record ‘Sing‘.

Neil Young & Crazy Horse have entered at #4 with their new album ‘Americana‘, while Patti Smith is back at #7 with Banga‘. The Walkmen also score a top 10 place with their latest record ‘Heaven‘, and Friends are this week’s highest new entry, with ‘Manifest‘ debuting at no.2 on the chart which is compiled entirely by sales registered at the UK’s independent record stores.




Elsewhere, re-mastered editions of classic albums from David Bowie and Paul Simon have entered at #9 and #12 respectively, while The Beach Boys‘ comeback album ‘That’s Why God Made The Radio‘ charts at no.20.
