The Amazons have shared their new single Mother with a second album expected in the summer.
The first glimpse of the band’s response to the 2017 self-titled debut album was aired as Annie Mac’s Hottest Record on BBC Radio 1 yesterday and will continue to get spins as Jack Saunders’ Tune Of The Week on the same station. Frontman Matthew Thomson says:
“In the age of social media we’re constantly told how to act, how to feel and how to think. This is a defiant song, challenging friends, gods and everyone in between.”
The Amazons have UK tour dates in Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester, Cardiff, London and Birmingham this month, and also have bookings at the Neighbourhood, Community and Reading/Leeds festivals later in the year.
