The 2020 edition of Deer Shed Festival has been cancelled, but organisers have vowed next year will be, ‘everything we hoped for and more’.
Existing tickets remain valid for next year, though anyone who won’t be able to attend can seek a refund. James, Stereolab and Baxter Dury had been due to headline the event in the summer, though organisers added that they are endeavoring, ‘over the coming months to confirm as much of the current line-up as possible for the new 2021 dates’.
“It’s a sad decision to have to make, and we know many families will be disappointed, but the health and safety of everyone involved is always our top priority,” festival director Oliver Jones said.
“We’re not looking at this as a set-back, but an opportunity to build even further on our plans for another exciting ten years facilitating the creative, inclusive community the festival has become. There’s also exciting plans to entertain our audience virtually over the coming months, so we’ll hopefully still be able to supply a bit of festival fun during the lockdown.”
