Danny Goffey will release his new album Schtick! on June 22nd.
Following his Vangoffey venture of 2015, the Supergrass drummer has unveiled a single entitled Buzzkiller and plans to hold a festival at his home in Somerset the day after his new album is out, with some big names primed. “Madness galore including music, emotional dance, hedonistic treats and a Les Dawson impersonator,” he says of ‘Goffstonbury‘. “It’s gonna be bonkers.”
Schtick! was co-produced by Simon Byrt and will feature Suede’s Brett Anderson, Rialto’s Louis Eliot and Insecure Men’s Marley Mackey. “The last album was more about my domestic life,” he adds.
“On this album, I got to grips with bigger topics like unprovoked violence and how religion is so strange. I do think it stands out in today’s music.”
