Stephen Fretwell will make his comeback with Busy Guy next week.
Stephen Fretwell has announced six UK dates which will support his new album after its release on July 16th.
Fretwell will play Bristol, Birmingham, London, Leeds, Manchester and Glasgow during a week at the start of November as a 15-year wait between studio records approaches its end.
“Years ago, Dan Carey asked why I always carried a copy of The Guardian, a notebook and a pen when all I did was go to the pub. I said: ‘If you go to the pub at 11am with a newspaper, a notebook and pen, you look like a busy guy rather than a pisshead’,” he’s said of the album title.
“It became a joke between us. The joke too is that I didn’t do any music for years.”
