Spotify has revealed that rapper Drake was the most streamed artist of the year racking up 1.8 billion streams globally in 2015.

Brit Award winner Ed Sheeran easily held on to his all time record of 3 billion streams, and over 59 million listeners, since the streaming service started back in 2008. Rapper Eminem drops to second spot, Drake, David Guetta and Rihanna fill up the top five most played artists of all time list.

The associated press also reports that Rihanna topped the female performers on Spotify recording a billion streams in 2015.

Perhaps surprisingly, The Weeknd’s breakout album, Beauty Behind the Madness, was the most streamed album of the year, beating Drake’s If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late, which was No. 2.
