Slate unveil their debut EP.

Slate‘s EP Deathless has been unveiled with the seriously impressive, sprawling new single Remoter Heaven.

“I liked the idea of writing a very simple narrative to a big, epic song,” vocalist Jack Shephard has said.

Something as modest as the story of a child playing in some flowers and then bursting into tears when a thorn pricks their leg. The words are an ode to that sensitivity we embrace when we are young. Then, when we become adults, we insist on subjugating all of that wonderful, absurd rage.

The EP is due out on May 17th, when the band will be at Great Escape Festival as part of their UK touring.
