A series of A Certain Ratio reissues courtesy of Mute will start later this year.
On November 24th, a selection of the Manchester band’s albums will get a 21st century polish, followed in 2018 with a compilation in April and more re-releases including a rarities box set.
The first set comprises their debut album The Graveyard And The Ballroom – one of the earliest Factory successes in December 1979. It will be available on limited edition vinyl, CD and cassette (the format it was first released on). To Each (1981) and Force (1986) will also be out on colored vinyl and CD.
A Certain Ratio were one of the first bands to help cement the Factory reputation after A Factory Sample; their All Night Party single being stamped FAC5. They would move on though to A&M Records before the end of the eighties, but were back with a Factory connection upon signing to Rob’s Records soon after.
