Secret Machines, one of the great unheralded bands of the packed mid-noughties rock scene, have announced plans to give their 2006 second album Ten Silver Drops another run.

Pre-orders for the expanded vinyl reissue are open until on October 9th, with a b-sides and rarities bonus album entitled Allaire also included from which their cover of Gillian Welch’s Everything Is Free has been shared online. “Ten Silver Drops is a very special album for me,” drummer Josh Garza states.

“I feel it was a great time for the band and recording at Allaire Studios was quite the experience. The songs are strong and our sense of experimentation comes through on the whole album. We were always trying to ‘push the envelope’ in terms of song structure and overall sonics.

“On one hand we were being influenced by our love for Eno and all things experimental, on the other hand was our love for The Beatles.”
