Savages presented their new album ‘Adore Life‘ to the audience of Jimmy Kimmel Live! in the US last night (January 20th) with performances of ‘Adore‘ and ‘The Answer‘ which can be seen below.
The successor to 2013’s debut ‘Silence Yourself‘ is out on Friday and, as they tend to do, the band has detailed its underlying message through an extensive statement which reads:
“It’s about change and the power to change. It’s about metamorphosis and evolution. It’s about sticking to your guns and toughing it out. It’s about now, not tomorrow. It’s about recognising your potential. It’s about self-doubt and inaction.”
“It’s about you. It’s about me. It’s about you and me and the others. It’s about the choices we make. It’s about finding the poetry and avoiding the cliché.”
Savages play the BBC 6Music Festival in Bristol next month having been confirmed along with Primal Scream, Foals, Daughter, Hooton Tennis Club, Steve Mason and more.
