Roger Waters has announced a new run of European gigs for his re-imagined version of Pink Floyd‘s 1980-81 Wall tour.

The additional dates will take place next year in Germany, Poland, Italy, Czech Republic, Serbia, Norway, Sweden, Austria, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Netherlands and Ireland, while further shows are set to be confirmed via a live webcast on November 15th at 12.30pm.

“I’m extremely glad to be playing The Wall in Europe again,” Waters has said. “It’s going to be a lot of fun for all of us. I’ve reworked the show to play outdoors in large stadiums. It’s really good. Even more moving, engaging, dramatic and thrilling than the arena shows.”

“I’ve had to rethink the whole thing about stadiums. This wide wall stadium show couldn’t have been done 40 years ago. We couldn’t have filled the space in a way that would have been emotionally, musically and theatrically satisfying. Technology has changed. Now we can.”

Waters first began his reworking of Pink Floyd’s hugely ambitious, but ultimately flawed, Wall tour just over a year ago. By the time a final date for 2012 was completed in Quebec City back in July, the tour had become one of the highest grossing of the year.
