Roger Waters will embark on a world tour next year as he continues to work on a first solo album in two decades.

The former Pink Floyd man made the revelation to Israeli newspaper Haaretz during an extensive interview, when he also discussed plans for an autobiography and suggested the tour will be a less ambitious affair than the hugely successful Wall run.

Waters’ re-imagining of Pink Floyd’s quickly-doomed tour of their 1979 album ‘The Wall‘ proved to be one of the biggest concert tours of all time after it was launched in 2010. It’s going to be documented with a new concert film at the end of this month, as a press release recently explained:

“Roger Waters The Wall is a film that unfolds on many levels: an immersive concert experience of the seminal 1979 Pink Floyd album.”

“A road movie of Waters’ reckoning with the death of his father in Italy in 1944, and a stirring film that highlights the human cost of armed conflict.”
