Take That‘s Robbie Williams has said he would like to write songs with former Oasis leader Noel Gallagher, after posting the video for Noel’s debut solo single ‘The Death Of You and Me‘ on his blog.
The video post came with the comment “I know it’s pretty redundant, but I’d love to write with him,” and will be seen as a further attempt on Williams’ part to cool a public feud between the pair which has been running for over a decade.
Earlier this month, Williams appeared intent on re-igniting a war of words, after telling the crowd at one of Take That’s Wembley gigs that Gallagher could ‘lick his arse’.
According to reports however, Williams quickly moved to dispel any more arguments, with a ‘source telling The Sun newspaper:
“Since he stopped the prescription drugs and settled down with his wife Ayda, he’s far more placid. He decided it was time, now they are both married men, to draw a line under the whole charade. He was telling a few of the guys backstage how he sent an email to Noel, via his people, about how much he respected him and admired his career.”
Despite Robbie Williams appearing on stage with Oasis at Glastonbury in 1995, their friendship soon turned sour, leading to Noel Gallagher famously dismissing Williams as ‘the fat dancer from Take That’.
