Rage Against The Machine will finally release their triumphant, X Factor-baiting 2010 Finsbury Park concert later this year.

After a Facebook campaign carried the band’s modern alternative classic ‘Killing In The Name‘ to number one in the UK for Christmas 2009 – bringing four years of Simon Cowell domination to an end in the process – the band arranged a free celebratory gig at Finsbury Park in London the following June, but official footage hasn’t been available as a stand-alone until now.

The 12-track ‘Rage Against The Machine – Live At Finsbury Park‘ will be available for pre-order on iTunes from September 11th.

“This was the first time in five years that Simon Cowell, the archetypal pop-music Svengali and creator of the TV show, failed to have a Christmas number one with his latest offering from the X Factor assembly-line,” Live4ever’ review of the concert reads.

“As the sea of souvenir t-shirts in Finsbury Park read, it was ‘Rage 1 – Cowell 0’.”
