Spotify will get its hands on ‘A Moon Shaped Pool‘ on June 17th.
Aversion to the service which has emanated out of Radiohead – in particular from frontman Thom Yorke and producer Nigel Godrich – no doubt played its part in Spotify missing out on the band’s latest record went it was released digitally last month as Tidal and Apple Music were welcomed in first.
Spotify owners did say they hoped to get hold of the album as soon as possible in a statement released to Billboard which read, “Radiohead’s new singles ‘Burn the Witch’ and ‘Daydreaming’ are already available on Spotify, and we look forward to making the rest of ‘A Moon Shaped Pool’ available on Spotify as soon as we can,” and their wish will be granted in a few days time.
Radiohead are now out touring their new album, and have festivals due around the world during the summer.
