Radiohead, The Cure, Roxy Music and Steve Nicks will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame next April.

Exactly how excited Radiohead are at the news remains to be seen though – in anticipation of receiving their first nomination last year the band’s guitarist Jonny Greendwood told Rolling Stone the Hall Of Fame was ‘a cultural thing that he really doesn’t understand’, while bandmate Ed O’Brien added:

“I don’t want to be rude about the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame because for a lot of people it means something, but culturally I don’t understand it. I think it might be a quintessential American thing.”

Janet Jackson, Def Leppard and The Zombies have also been picked for the class of 2019 after a process which involved both a fan and industry vote. Some of those shortlisted acts who’ll be missing out on the ceremony, due to be held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, this time include LL Cool J, Devo, MC5 and Kraftwerk.
