Primal Scream and Mark Ronson have been added to the list of artists who will receive O2 Silver Clef awards this year.

Iron Maiden have previously been confirmed to be joining the likes of Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, Oasis and The Clash as winners of the main Silver Clef Award, and Primal Scream have now been revealed as the recipients of Investec Icon Award. “It’s a real honour,” the band said in a short statement. “We are looking forward to the event.”

Mark Ronson, meanwhile, is this year’s American Express Innovation winner and said: “The O2 Silver Clef Awards is an event I’ve long admired, raising funds for Nordoff Robbins music therapy, a cause which I feel passionate about.”

Founded in 1975 by composer Paul Nordoff, the prize giving ceremony will take place on July 3rd at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel in support of the Nordoff Robbins music therapy charity.
