Pixies‘ new album ‘Head Carrier‘ can be previewed in full via NPR below ahead of release on September 30th.
Produced by Tom Dalgety at London’s Rak Studios earlier this year, it’s been previewed during recent weeks with the ‘Um Chagga Lagga‘ and ‘Tenement Song‘ singles, and will have a deluxe box-set version available exclusively through the band’s official website featuring a CD, heavyweight 180g black vinyl and a 24-page booklet.
Of the sessions, which were of a much more relaxed nature than in the past, drummer David Lovering has said:
“This was a wonderful luxury, for us to have the time to be able to really work these new songs out. By the time we started recording, we all knew the songs backwards and forwards, so it took half as long for us to make this album as it did to make ‘Indie Cindy.’”
