Jarvis Cocker introducing JARV IS… to Bluedot Festival 2019 (Gary Mather for Live4ever)
Live4ever was back at the Jodrell Bank Observatory site in Cheshire last weekend for Bluedot Festival, and we start our coverage today with Jarvis Cocker‘s latest guise JARV IS….

The Pulp frontman recently released a new JARV IS… single entitled Must I Evolve? which was made available exclusively at their live shows, apparently because Cocker sees JARV IS… as ‘primarily a live experience’. Also in the live band are Serafina Steer, Emma Smith, Andrew McKinney, Jason Buckle and Adam Betts.
The single was recorded after an appearance at Peak Cavern in Derbyshire after they all made their first live appearance together two years ago at Sigur Ros’ Norður og Niður festival in Iceland, and they have since toured small venues in the UK and played Desert Daze in the US last October.
Already this summer, meanwhile, have been shows at All Points East in London and Primavera Sound in Barcelona.
